There’s something magical about the fall season that makes it the perfect time to cozy up with a romance novel. As the air turns cool, wrapping yourself in a blanket and diving into a heartwarming love story feels like bliss. Whether it’s a lighthearted contemporary romance or a swoony tale, these favorite fall romance books will warm you right up. This fall, I’ve gravitated toward romances that bring a mix of sweet, spicy and a touch of autumn magic. Here are some of my favorite fall romance reads for this cozy season!
Fall Into Temptation by Lucy Score
Lucy Score is one of my go-to authors for small-town romance with plenty of heat and humor. Fall Into Temptation did not disappoint! This book is the second in her Blue Moon series. It’s a swoony, opposites-attract romance between the responsible, buttoned-up Beckett Pierce and the free-spirited single mom, Gia Gallo. When Gia and her kids move to the quirky town of Blue Moon Bend, sparks fly between her and Beckett. Beckett is determined to keep his life orderly and predictable. Naturally, Gia and her bohemian ways shake up his world and the tension between them builds. This is a delicious slow-burn romance.
What I loved most about this book was the charming setting of Blue Moon Bend. It’s the kind of town where everyone knows each other’s business and there are plenty of meddling family members to add to the fun. The chemistry between Beckett and Gia is undeniable. Lucy Score delivers plenty of steamy moments while also keeping the humor light and engaging. Fall Into Temptation is the perfect mix of heart, heat and laughter. It’s a great fall read to snuggle up with. I also adored the way the side characters were developed, setting up future stories in the series. If you’re in the mood for a fun, flirty romance with all the cozy small-town feels, this one should be at the top of your favorite fall romance list.
Warning:
This is book two in an eight-book series called Blue Moon. I read this book before the first book, and while there were a few spoilers, it didn’t ruin my reading experience or lessen my desire to dive into the first book. If reading out of order doesn’t bother you, go ahead and enjoy! But if you’re someone who prefers to avoid spoilers, I’d recommend starting with No More Secrets by Lucy Score.
Witch Please by Ann Aguirre
If you love a little magic mixed into your romance, Witch Please by Ann Aguirre is a must-read this fall. This is the first book in the Fix-It Witches series. It combines witchy vibes with a modern romance, perfect for the Halloween season. The story follows Danica Waterhouse, a witch who runs a magical repair shop with her cousin. Despite being a powerful witch, Danica’s love life is complicated. She’s sworn off dating mortals after her past relationships didn’t work out. Enter Titus Winnaker, a sweet and cinnamon-roll bakery owner, who has no idea about the magical world. The sparks between Danica and Titus are undeniable, but Danica is determined to keep her distance. But eventually she just can’t resist.
This book is full of charm, witty banter and a dash of witchy mischief. Danica and Titus have such an adorable dynamic. Titus is completely smitten with Danica and watching their relationship unfold is pure delight. I loved the mix of light-hearted romance with the cozy fall atmosphere. The magical elements added a fun twist without overshadowing the romance. The themes of family, friendship and accepting love in unexpected places really shone through in this book. It’s a perfect choice for a feel-good fall read. Plus, the side characters, like Danica’s cousin Clem, add even more depth to the story and left me excited to dive into the rest of the series, Boss Witch and Extra Witchy.
The Graves Glen Series by Erin Sterling
Erin Sterling’s Graves Glen series has quickly become one of my favorite fall romance reads. I devoured all three books this season! Starting with The Ex Hex, Sterling sets the tone with a witchy, fun, and hilarious romance. It’s ideal for anyone who loves magic and mischief in their love stories.
The Ex Hex
In The Ex Hex, we meet witch, Vivienne Jones. After a bad breakup, she drunkenly curses her ex-boyfriend Rhys Penhallow. Fast forward nine years and Rhys returns to their small town of Graves Glen and the curse wreaks havoc on his life and the town itself. What follows is a hilarious, magical and steamy second-chance romance as Vivienne and Rhys team up to fix the curse and deal with their unresolved feelings for each other. The chemistry between Vivienne and Rhys is electric and the banter is spot-on. This book is a delightful fall romance.
The Kiss Curse
The series continues with The Kiss Curse. We dive into another swoony romance, this time focusing on Gwyn Jones, Vivienne’s cousin, and her rivalry-turned-romance with Wells Penhallow, Rhys’s brother. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic between Gwyn and Wells is fiery and fun, filled with magic, curses and plenty of tension. I love how Sterling keeps the same magical, cozy fall atmosphere throughout the series. Each book is a perfect seasonal read.
The Wedding Witch
The latest addition to the series, The Wedding Witch, wraps things up with a romantic twist. This time, the focus shifts to Vivi and Rhys as they prepare for their wedding. Of course, nothing goes smoothly in Graves Glen! When mysterious magical forces interfere, chaos erupts in their relationship and the entire town. Vivi and Rhys must work together to save their big day. Full of Sterling’s signature wit, charm and a hefty dose of magic, The Wedding Witch is a fun and heartwarming conclusion to this enchanting series. The chemistry, humor and magical mishaps make it a perfect read for anyone who loves a mix of romance and witchy vibes.
Whether you’re in the mood for a small-town love story, a witchy romance or a magical series with plenty of charm, these books are perfect companions for a cozy fall day. Snuggle up, grab a blanket and dive into these enchanting favorite fall romances. They’ll keep you warm all season long!
